In many Italian schools, children wear grembiuli, smocks used to cover and protect their clothes. This project reworks the existing kindergarten smock with an essential design, in 100% cotton.

In addition to the long sleeve style, a sleeveless version provides comfort during warm weather. Traditional grembiuli feature a decorative white collar. Here, the simple V-neck possesses a useful detail - a snap button, tucked under the chin, which helps a child take the shirt off by themselves.
