Clothing is usually designed with a clean outside and a less attractive inside that hides cut edges and thread ends. These then touch and sometimes irritate the skin, so it would make sense to make the so-called wrong side smooth, too. And anyway, why should the construction features of a garment be out of sight?

This is the first version of a sweater with a completely flat inside. All overlock stiches are now on the outside and highlight the seam lines.
